A Butler County man and woman have been arrested and charged with burglary after an early morning break-in at the Corner Stop.

The Greenville Police Department arrested Amy Murray, 32, and Timothy Robinson, 39, after the pair allegedly smashed in the door to the convenience store and stole beer and cigarettes during the early hours of June 5.

Authorities were able to use the store’s surveillance video to get a description of the suspects as well as the vehicle they were driving.

The vehicle was later located parked outside a house on Ogelsby Street. According to authorities, Murray was still in the vehicle, along with some of the items taken from the store.

Robinson, who police say was in the house when the vehicle was located, fled out a back door when authorities arrived on the scene. He later turned himself in at the Butler County Correctional Facility.

“He said he was feeling the pressure knowing that we were out looking for him,” Lt. Justin Lovvorn said.

Both Murray and Robinson have been charged with burglary, third degree. Murray was also charged with receiving stolen property, third degree.
