Sula Hood Freeman

Sula Hood Freeman, 92, a resident of Georgiana, Ala., passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Her daughters and granddaughter were by her side when she drifted off to be with the Lord, her passing was a peaceful one. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Hood and Rev. Bill Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing arrangements. Ms. Freeman was preceded in death by her husband, B.A. (Buck) Freeman, and son, William H. (Buster) Freeman. Ms. Freeman is survived by three daughters, Mollie Homer, Pensacola, Fla.; Emma Goulet, Georgiana, Ala.; and Patty Henry, Greenville, Ala.; Eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. Ms. Sula Freeman was born in Georgiana on Sept. 3, 1920, to John and Ella Hood and spent her 92 years in Georgiana and the surrounding area. During her 92 years, she never had a bad word for anyone.
