John D. Sirmon, 76, a resident of Evergreen, Ala., passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Williamson and Rev. Jim Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel West Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing arrangements. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Mr. Sirmon was preceded in death by his children, Charles Floyd, Thomas Floyd, Irma Floyd, and Baby Girl Floyd. Mr. Sirmon is survived by his wife, Mary Sirmon, Evergreen, Ala.; daughter, Mary Frances Floyd, Evergreen, Ala.; son, Joe Thorn Floyd, Evergreen, Ala.; grandson, Carter Floyd, Evergreen, Ala.; sister, Mary Frances Henley, Mississippi; niece, Patricia Henley, Mississippi.
