Senators down Eagles in OT

For the second time in as many games, Fort Dale Academy found itself on the losing end of an overtime contest.
After falling to Eastwood Christian School 59-51 on Friday, the Eagles were defeated 46-42 by Morgan Academy Tuesday night.
The Senators held Fort Dale to just 24 percent shooting (14-for-59) from the field and 12 percent shooting (3-for-24) from beyond the 3-point arc.
Chip Taylor led Fort Dale’s offense with 15 points. Taylor connected on 5-of-20 attempts.
Jack Bates chipped in 12 points for the Eagles and pulled down 20 of Fort Dale’s 43 rebounds.
Wesley Scott added 10 points on the strength of a 4-for-10 effort from the field. He also recorded three blocks.
Fort Dale will be back in action Thursday when it travels to Monroeville to take on Monroe Academy. Junior varsity play will begin at 4 p.m. with varsity action set to follow.
