A double-double by Georgiana School senior forward Justin Oikle helped power the seventh-ranked Panthers to a 58-44 road win over Highland Home Thursday.

Oikle scored 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the victory, which improved Georgiana’s record to 5-0.

Fellow senior Carlo Mitchell chipped in 13 points, while freshman Jacquez Payton and sophomore Devin McMeans added 12 points and 10 points, respectively.

Highland Home’s Lewis Johnson led all scorers with 20 points.

David Rogers added 11 points for the Flying Squadron.

The Panthers will be back in action Tuesday when they play host to Straughn High School. B-team action will start at 4:30 p.m. with varsity action set to follow.
