No. 2 Knights end Eagles’ season

No. 2 Tuscaloosa Academy defeated Fort Dale Academy 34-0 Friday night in the second round of the Alabama Independent School Association Class AAA playoffs.
The loss marked the first time this season that the Eagles were held scoreless.
With the win, the Knights improved to 12-0 on the season, while the Eagles finished with an 8-4 mark.
Fort Dale junior quarterback Chip Taylor led the Eagle offense with 176 yards passing. He completed 17 of his 23 attempts.
Senior Taylor Windham led the Fort Dale receiving corps with five catches for 64 yards. Senior Ryan Salter hauled in three passes for 43 yards.
Junior Chase Whiddon paced the Eagles on the ground with 83 yards on 13 carries, while senior Ryan Taylor picked up 49 yards on 11 carries.
Senior Cade Tillery led the Fort Dale defense with six tackles. Senior Taylor Hartley recovered a fumble and Windham snagged an interception in the loss.
