Bryan Reynolds is the new councilman for Greenville’s District 1 — officially.

On Tuesday the Greenville City Council canvassed the results from the Oct. 9 special election and certified the election results.

Reynolds received 192 votes, while Jerry Myers garnered 139 votes.

There were no provisional ballots.

Reynolds will be sworn into office Nov. 5.

Greenville Mayor Dexter McLendon announced on Tuesday that the Nov. 5 meeting will be held at the Wendell Mitchell Conference Center on LBW Community College’s campus.
