The Holiday Inn Express recently celebrated 60 years of service as a franchise at a Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce after hours event, hosted at the Holiday Inn Express.

Members of the Chamber, area business partners and community members were in attendance to meet the staff and tour the facility.  During the event, the Holiday Inn Express presented the Chamber of Commerce with a 32-inch television.

“The donation was something we felt strongly about,” said Director of Operations, James Langham.  “We are excited to be a part of the Chamber and thought this would be a good opportunity for the Chamber to use this as a way to promote Greenville through their use of the television, or to possibly use it as a way to generate additional revenue by raffling off the television. The additional revenue could be a way to incorporate new events to our area that give residents and visitors something to look forward to.”

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Francine Wasden, was honored by the donation.

“I was surprised and extremely excited for the Chamber to receive such a nice gift,” she said.  “I am considering several opportunities to use the television in a way that will best serve the Chamber of Commerce and our members.”
