A joint effort between the Greenville Police Department and the Demopolis Police Department has resulted in the arrest of a Greenville man for transmitting obscene material to a child by computer.

Warren Dale Skinner, 47, was arrested Thursday as part of a cyber crimes investigation by the GPD and DPD. He is currently being held in the Marengo County Detention Center awaiting bond.

While Skinner was arrested and charged  on Thursday, the investigation is ongoing, according to Greenville Police Department Lt. Justin Lovvorn.

“The warrant that was served on Thursday was from Demopolis,” Lovvorn said. “They are pretty much done with their part of the investigation.”

Lovvorn said that the GPD may still bring more charges against Skinner.

“We’re still actively investigating,” he said.
