Cecilia Moore Lawrence, age 93 a homemaker of Octagon, AL died August 28, 2011 at DCH Regional Medical Center. She was born September 14, 1917 in Octagon, AL. She was past president of Magnolia Community Club, Tuesday Study Club, and Women’s Federated Club. She was a life long member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she served the church in various capacities.

She is survived by daughter, Patricia (Vic) Sullivan of Tuscaloosa, AL; son, Jimmie H. Lawrence of Greenville, AL; four grandchildren, Jay Biggs, Stacy Moring, Jimmie Lawrence, Jr., and Jon Wesley Lawrence; eight great grandchildren, Courtney Lawrence, Carley Lawrence, Gabe Lawrence, Catie Lawrence, Kayla Moring, Justin Moring, Jon Noland Lawrence, and Shelby Lawrence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Lawrence; her parents, Sidney Hinton Moore and Viola Hale Moore; daughter-in-law, Marcia F. Lawrence; two sisters, Mae Miller and Carolyn Miller; two brothers, Robert Moore and Sam Ed Moore.

Visitation will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM service time. Burial will be at the New Octagon Cemetery.
