Scott, Benson to wed Sept. 17

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald W. Benson Sr. announce the engagement of their son, Gerald W. Benson Jr. to Angie M. Scott, daughter of the late John H. Scott of Arkansas and the late Joanne L. Scott of Louisiana.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Logan of Mobile.
She is a graduate of Zachary High School and Delta Junior College and is employed by Rayco Industrial, Selma.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Benson of Georgiana and the late Frank Thigpen and the late Mrs. Otto Moorer of Greenville.
A Greenville High School graduate, Mr. Benson attended Troy State University.
He is a certified X-ray technician.
The wedding is set for 4:30 p.m., September 17, 2011 at the Malaga Inn, 329 Church St., Mobile.
