The Dixie Youth All-Stars outscored their opponents 55-14 and posted a 5-0 record en route to a District 9 championship.

Greenville edged New Brockton 6-5 to claim the title and advance to the state tournament in Opelika July 23-28.

Reed Crosby banged out a pair of singles and drove in the game-winning run for Greenville.

Nate Scoggins had two doubles, and Tripp Richardson and Ryan Davis each had two singles to help lead Greenville’s charge. Chase Mansman, Luke Taylor, Brandon White, Kyler Weeks and Anthony Sellers each had a single in the win.

Weeks also scored the game-winning run.

Greenville advanced to the title game after knocking off Crenshaw County 13-1 in a semi-final showdown and a rematch of the tournament opener.

Taylor tossed a one-hitter, striking out five to earn the win.

Mansman, Taylor, White and Sellers all homered for Greenville. Mansman also collected a double, while White finished with two singles.

Weeks picked up three singles. Marktavious Patterson and Davis also had hits in the win.

In the teams’ first matchup, Greenville topped Crenshaw County 6-1.

Taylor allowed just one hit and recorded three strikeouts for Greenville, while White led the charge offensively with a home run.

Greenville offset a sluggish performance at the plate by taking advantage of five Crenshaw County errors.

The squad shook off its slow start at the plate in its opener with 12 hits in its second-round showdown with Elba.

Greenville had five extra-base hits en route to an 18-7 win.

White pounded out two doubles and a single, while Mansman and Richardson each collected a double. Crosby homered and banged out two singles, while Taylor picked up two singles. Sellers and Weeks, who struck out six and gave up just one hit in thee innings of work, also singled in the win.

Greenville followed its win over Crenshaw County with a 12-0 win against New Brockton.

Tanner Cartwright allowed just one hit in the win, while fanning three New Brockton batters.

Mansman, Taylor and Weeks all homered to lead the offensive charge for Greenville.

White doubled and Sullivan Harold picked up two singles, while Sellers, Richardson and Cartwright each collected hits in the win.
