Funeral services for the late Mr. Ozell Waters Sr. were held on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at 2 p.m. from Ridgeville Baptist Church. Rev. Purnell Adams pastor. Rev. Demus Smith officiated. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery. Hudson Funeral Serivces, Greenville, Ala., directed. He leaves to cherish his everlasting memories his loving wife of 51 years, Clara Waters, five children, Calvin Earl Brown, Beaver Falls, Penn.; Lora (Kenneth) Hullum, Belleville, Mich.; Ozell (D’Valincia) Waters, Albany, Ga.; Chastity Waters, Ft. Deposit, Ala., and Dana Waters, Georgiana, Ala; two brothers, William Waters, Forest Home and Rayfield (Fannie) Waters, Greenville, Ala.; three sisters, Laura Waters Carter, Sarah Pearl Waters and Annie Nell Morrison, all of Greenville, Ala.; four brothers-in-law, Henry Crenshaw, Robert Crenshaw, T.L. Steward and Herman Morrison; three sisters-in-law, Bessie Herbert, Ella Mae Hawkins and Essie M. Waters; eight grandchildren, Lewis Jr., Kim, Gabrielle, Eboni, Adarius, Myesha, TaKia and Courtney; two great grands, Isaiah and Londyn. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends; and 4 special friends, Jerome Ross, Michael Lewis, Wade McCall Jack Buskey.
