W.O. Parmer Elementary School held its first ever Walk to School Day on Tuesday.

Approximately 100 students participated in the program, which was designed to promote exercise among young people. The initiative is encouraged by the Department of Transportation. Students began walking at Stabler Clinic and the Butler County Courthouse.

School officials hope Walk to School Day will become an annual event for the school.
