Mets top Braves 3-2

The Mets squeaked out a 3-2 win against the Braves Thursday night in a Dixie Minor League showdown.

Aubrey Reeves led the Mets’ offensive charge with a pair of singles. Austin Williams pounded out a double and Andrew Williams and Tyrone Ingram each collected a single.

Reeves, Austin Williams and Evan Clark each scored a run in the win.

Clark earned the win on the mound.

Bryce Yancey paced the Braves with a double and two singles. Christopher Bedgood finished with a pair of singles, and Zac Smith also singled for the Braves.

Daniel Palmer and Yancey both scored a run in the loss.

Rangers 9, Dodgers 8

The Rangers topped the Dodgers 9-8 Thursday night in Dixie Minor League play.

Braxton Daniels, Taite Watson, Matthew Sexton, Trace Godwin and Hunter Mount each collected two hits and scored a run for the Rangers. Kaegan Jones scored two runs and Nathan Brooks added another in the win.

Watson was credited with the win on the mound.

T.J. Williams collected a hit and Curtis Robinson scored three runs to lead the Dodgers’ offensive attack. Heath Crawford scored twice and Willie Stewart and Jackson Edwards each added a run in the loss.

Rays 5, Red Sox 4

The Rays slipped past the Red Sox 5-4 Thursday night in Dixie Minor League action.

Drew McLellan belted a triple and Bishop Riley banged out a single and scored a run to lead the Rays’ offensive charge. Jamil Thompson, Moe Moseley and Hunter Teague each scored a run.

Thompson earned the win on the mound.

Sawyer Hennis tripled and scored a run to pace the Red Sox. Baker Bozeman collected a single and Caleb Garrett, Jamarious Burnett and Diamonte Leveless each scored a run in the loss.

Mite League

White Sox 8, Red Sox 2

Damian Mount and Lamar Hester were each 2-for-2 at the plate to help power the White Sox to an 8-2 win against the Red Sox Thursday night in Mite League action.

Erik Rudolph was 1-for-2 in the win.

Stephen Ponder led the Red Sox with a 2-for-2 performance and Cameron Crenshaw and Evan Godwin were both 1-for-2 at the plate in the loss.

Braves 15, Rangers 13

The Braves outlasted the Rangers 15-13 Thursday night in a Mite League showdown.

Davis Gaston led the Braves with a 3-for-3 effort and three runs scored. Sam Sherling was 3-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and Luke Stinson was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a home run.

Tanner Brady was 2-for-3 with two runs scored in the win.

Dalton Daniels paced the Rangers with a 3-for-3 performance at the plate that included a pair of home runs and three runs scored. Jacob Nichols was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and Jacob Foster and Trace Thomas were each 2-for-3 at the plate. Foster also scored two runs and Thomas scored one in the loss.

Cubs 11, A’s 2

The Cubs cruised to an 11-2 win against the A’s Thursday night in Mite League play.

Brody Cartwright and Baline Hinson led the Cubs at the plate with a 3-for-3 effort. Charleston Coker was 2-for-3 in the win.

De’Ago Martin was 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the A’s. Tyron Ingram and Robert Hall were both 2-for-2 in the loss.
