Myra Jean Chambliss, 86, of Fort Deposit, died in Montgomery on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. The family received friends at Bethel Baptist Church on Friday April 22, 2011 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral service were at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, Ft. Deposit with Rev. Eric Jackson and Rev. Bruce Coker officiating. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial followed at Myrtlewood Cemetery, Ft. Deposit, AL. Mrs. Chambliss is survived by her children: James “Tootie” Chambliss of Ft. Deposit, Leslie Jean Chambliss of New York, NY; sister: Mary Katherine James of Ft. Deposit and numerous nieces and nephews. The family request in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Bethel Baptist Church at P.O. Box 261, Ft. Deposit, AL 36032 or to one’s favorite charity.
