Michael Ethan Cook, 19, a resident of Paxton, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2011, after a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born in Mobile, Ala., on May 28, 1991. He began school in Andalusia, Ala., where he enjoyed soccer, swim team, baseball and Boy Scouts. He lived briefly in Crestview, Fla., and Georgiana, Ala., where he loved hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling at Snag Lake. Ethan graduated from Paxton High School, where he was a member of the championship track and baseball teams. Ethan took pride in serving as an officer at Blackwater Correctional Facility in Milton, Fla., where he was loved and respected by his peers. Ethan was a loving gentle spirit who loved God, his family, his friends, and was loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James T. Revette. He leaves behind his mother, Robin Cook (Joe) Morrow, Paxton, Fla.; Father: Michael A. “Tony” Cook, Georgiana, Ala.; Brother, Jordan Thomas “Tom” Cook, Paxton, Fla.; Grandmothers: Glenda Smith, Georgiana, Ala., and Maryanne Revette, Paxton, Fla.; Uncles and Aunts: Dana Revette, Paxton, Fla., Mike (Tami) Revette, Honoraville, Ala., Mark (Becky) Revette, Mobile, Ala., Terry (Bendy) Cook and Donnie (Peggy) Smith, Steve (Susin) Cook, all Greenville, Ala.,  Daryl (Loretta) Smith, and Andrew Smith, of Georgiana, Ala.; Many cousins. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Lovelady and Rev. Michael Holcombe officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., is directing the arrangements. Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Paxton Baptist Church on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family will accept donations toward funeral expenses.
