Tabor, Jones to lead ‘Bubble Over with Joy’

On Saturday, March 26, Crenshaw County Women for Christ will have its fifth annual conference for women.

Last year, the conference drew nearly 400 local women.

Crenshaw County Women for Christ is an interdenominational fellowship of women from Crenshaw and surrounding counties.

The conference will be located at South Luverne Baptist Church, on the Glenwood Highway in Luverne, and it will be from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m

The theme for this year’s conference is “Bubble Over With Joy”, based upon Romans 15:13.

The speaker, Joani Tabor from Roanoke, Virginia, is a nationally-recognized conference speaker and Christian award-winning singer.

Starla Jones from Butler County will lead the praise and worship. Starla is the Minister of Music at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Georgiana. She is a gifted vocalist with a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance.

“We are privileged and blessed to have Joani and Starla leading our conference this year. It’s going to be a wonderful day overflowing with great fellowship and encouragement for women,” says Linda Hogwood, a member of the steering committee.

In addition, there will be door prizes, a lot of humor, and new segments in the program.

The admission is $15 which includes a box lunch.

On Tuesday, March 15, WSFA-TV will feature our women’s conference on Alabama Live. The show airs at 11:00 a.m. Debbie Roberts and Anne Tate will appear on behalf of CCWC, and either Judd Davis or Tonya Terry will interview them in a short segment about the March 26 conference.
