Johnny Walker Nance, 37, of Alabaster, passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2001. John was born Sept. 17, 1973 in South Korea and moved to the U.S. with his family around the age of four.

He attended high school in Gadsden and later graduated from Auburn University in 1999. He will be sorely missed by his many friends and extended family. John will be remembered for his sense of humor, contagious smile and devotion to his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Susan; son, Ivan Wilder Nance; parents, Donald Nance of North Dakota and Chun Nak Kim Bryant of Mississippi, and his sister, Candace Nance. A celebration of life was held on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at Evangel Presbyterian Church in Alabaster. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help create a fund for Ivan Nance,
