Funeral services for the late Mr. James Stringer will be held on Sat., Jan. 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. from New Way of Life Church on Oglesby St. in Greenville with Minister Carrie Hawthorne officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville directing. He leaves to cherish his memories a son, the Rev. Larry Jackson of Greenville; four daughters, Laura (James) Harris, Massillon, Mich., Sharon (Lonnie) Freeman, Rutledge, Carlotta Weeden, New York, Deloris Thigpen, Greenville; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; three sisters, Annie Jewel, Birmingham; Georgiana Bone, Greenville; Mattie (William) Nix, Georgiana; one brother, the Rev. R. J. Patterson; one aunt, Era (Hervine) Bedgood, Greenville; a host of nieces and nephews including a very special nephew, Wesley Allen, a special friend Darlene Thornton, cousins and friends.
