BOE approves corrective action plan for GMS

The approval of the Greenville Middle School Corrective Action Plan and of the job description for the PayPlus coordinator were among the items of business conducted by the Butler County Board of Education in a special called meeting Thursday night.

New employees for the district were approved: Garri Lett, PE teacher, Greenville Middle School and Kenneth Schofield and Alan Miller, bus drivers for the Transportation Department. The board approved the resignation of Robert Davison, special education services aide at Georgiana School.

*Approved the proposed salary schedule revision, with preschool instructional aide schedule revised in accordance with grant requirements

*Heard the legal update from board attorney Pete Hamilton, who stated he was continuing to work to get the deeds for the Georgiana property. Hamilton also said current employee litigation is still under review by an administrative law judge.
