“Most teams play better at home so I am glad to pick up a road win, but I feel like we could have played better,” Norris said. “We jumped on them early and played well in spurts.”

Rickey Everett tallied 13 points, with 8 rebounds. Adrian Rich came in close behind with 11 points and 11 rebounds, with Lee Curry also breaking into double-digits with a total score of 10.

The Panthers had a good offensive showing versus Booker T Washington, but head coach Kirk Norris said that they could have done better on the other side of the ball.

“We usually pride ourselves with good defense, only giving up 40 or 50 points a game,” Norris said. “Our scoring, however, really stepped up.”

Keon Binion racked up 19 points and 6 steals. Adrian Rich grabbed 18 points and 11 rebounds.

“I don’t know if fatigue had anything to do with it, but that is one thing we need to get used to,” Norris said. “We got three games coming up this weekend.

Three more panthers, Adrian Paige, Rickey Everett and Lee Curry racked up double-digit totals, with Paige and Everett scoring 13 apiece and curry coming in with 10.

The Panthers will play Straughn at home on Tuesday, followed by tournament play at Straughn Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
