Daniel H. Brooks, age 73, of Washburn, TN passed away suddenly at his home, November 24, 2010.

Dan was formerly of Greenville, AL, and was a member of Mount Eager Baptist Church Preceded in death by: parents, Tessie and Hershel Brooks, brother, Edward Brooks, formerly of Greenville; sister, Dorothy Price of Columbus, GA.

He is survived by: his wife, Rachel Watson Brooks; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Rodney Dotson of Oxford, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and David Buck; two grandchildren, Robert and Christina Buck of Knoxville, TN; two sisters, Betty Bundy, Connie Mitchell; two brothers, Harold Brooks and Bobby Brooks all of Greenville, AL; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Friday 6 to 8 p.m., funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in Cooke Chapel. Reverend Gary Donehew officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Cooke Mortuary and go in procession to Mount Eager Church Cemetery of 11:00 a.m. interment. www.cookemortuary.com
