WW II vets honored at Rotary for Veterans Day

From left, proud WW II veterans Wayne Killough, Col. Tut Frakes, Percy Nixon, Col. Earl Tisdale, Gene Hardin, Al Burns, Charles Jones and Bill Bates were honored at the Rotary Club meeting on Veterans Day. Each of the vets shared some of their memories of their time in service with attendees, while Rotarian and VFW Post 24 commander Walter Parmer encouraged members and guests to give their personal thanks to each of the veterans present. It's estimated less than 10 percent of those Americans who served in WW II are still living.
