The Greenville Tigers are hoping to ride the wave of momentum that got started last week during their 50-20 rout of Brookwood.

“We are going to try to continue on from last week,” said coach Ben Blackmon. “We are going to strive to match that enthusiasm and try to continue to better ourselves.”

Despite the fact that Lanier is 0-9 for the season, Blackmon hasn’t wrote the game off.

“I don’t take anyone lightly; it is still a game,” Blackmon said. “Lanier has a bunch of athletes. They haven’t been able to pull one out but every game except last week has been close, and they play in a tough region.”

Greenville’s playoff spot has already been clenched, and Blackmon said the post-season is still too far off to be focusing on.

“We are glad to be in the playoffs, but we still got to finish the regular season,” Blackmon said. “We’ll deal with the playoffs when they get here.”
