Obituary: Eula Mae Pruitt

The late Eula Pruitt was born in Pike County, Alabama on April 14, 1934. She was the 2nd of six siblings born to Lomax and Jennette Pouncy Wingard. She departed her life on October 9, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her son Lyndon Pruitt, mother, father, and four brothers: James Edward Wingard, Wille Mac Wingard, Elder Paul Wingard, and Elder William Ollice Wingard.

She confessed Christ at an early age and attended the Church of God in Christ in Luverne, Alabama. Sis. Eula was educated in the Pike County School System. She briefly attended Alabama State University.

She was united in holy matrimony to Herbert Wilson Pruitt on May 13, 1957 and to this union they were blessed with seven children. Their union prompted a move to Boston, MA in 1957, where she lived, worked, and raised her children for 34 years.

Sister Eula was a longtime member of Bethlehem Healing Temple in Boston, MA from the early sixties through 1991. She was employed by Shawmut Bank in Boston, MA until 1991 when she retired.

Upon retirement, she moved to Grady, AL with her husband. She was a faithful member of the All Nations Pentecostal Church until God called her home.

Funeral services for Eula Mae Pruitt were held Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the Helicon Missionary Baptist Church in Grady, AL, with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy handling the arrangements.
