The City of Georgiana will be moving its annual Harvest Festival from the downtown square to Hank Williams Park.

The event is set for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday night, October 29. “We had a really good response to this in the past and we are trying to grow it and make it even bigger and better this year,” said Mayor Mike Middleton. Along with trick-or-treat goodies for the children, a costume contest is also planned for youngsters ages 12 and younger, he said.

Concessions will be available, and the event is open to families across the community who want to enjoy a safe and happy fall celebration together. Area clubs, businesses and individuals who want to participate are urged to contact 376-2555 to learn more about the event.
