Mrs. Ethel Bush Hall, age 85, a resident of Georgiana, Al. died Monday Sept. 6, 2010. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 from the First Baptist Church of Georgiana with Rev. Allen Stephenson officiating. Interment will follow in New Home Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Al. directing. Her body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday evening. Mrs. Hall was born Oct. 12, 1924, six miles west of Georgiana to the late Otis and Adelle Bush. She married Fred Hall on Jan. 6, 1943. Together, they raised 10 children. Mrs. Hall worked at various places outside the home. She was a life long member of the New Home Church and upon its closing, joined the First Baptist Church of Georgiana. She was a member of the Georgiana Garden Club for almost 20 years and was awarded a lifetime pin and plaque. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church U.M.W. for over twenty five years. She was always active in her community. She loved helping people, the church, her flowers, and her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hall, 2 daughters, Mrya Dell Ward  and Elise Bates, 2 sons, Fred Hall , Jr. and Ed Hall, and 3 brothers, Ollie Ray Bush, Albert Bush, and William M. Bush. Survivors include: Daughters: Peggy S. (Jim) Stecki, Lake Worth, Fla. and Mildred Southerland, Lexington, S.C.; Sons: Gene (Virginia) Hall, Prattville, Al., Paul (Hope) Hall, Lexington, S.C., Larry (Sue) Hall, Gantt, Al., and Jerry Hall, Georgiana, Al. She leaves 24 Grand Children, over 30 Great Grand Children, a few Great Great Grand Children as well as 5 Sisters: Brenda Gruenewald and Marion Newsome both of Georgiana, Margaret Braden and Pauline Szabo, both of Greenville, Al, and Maxine Bentley, Pensacola, Fla.; 4 Brothers: Authar (Dolly) Bush, Birmingham, Al., Wilbur Bush and Gene Bush, both of Greenville, Al., and Wendal Bush, Red Level, Al..
