Stringer Carroll Owen, age 86, a resident of Dothan, Al., former resident of Spring Creek Community, died August 1, 2010.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Allen Winn officiating and Harrison Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home.
Survivors include two sons: Ronald ( Suzanne ) Owen of Pansey, Ala., Gary Owen of Black, Ala.,
two grandchildren : Dr. Kristen ( Lee) Riley , Birmingham, Ala., Brian ( Angie) Owen, Florence , Ala., four great-grandchildren. She was born to the late Joe Frank and Ruby Daniel Stringer on Oct.7,1923 and was also preceded in death by husband W. J. Owen.
