Mrs. Mattie L. May, 91, a resident of Grady, AL died Wednesday July 14, 2010. Funeral services were held at  2 pm Saturday July 17, 2010 at the Lapine Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Leverette officiating. Interment  followed  in Rock Mount Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. May is preceded in death by infant twin daughters, Rachel and Charlotte; her husband, Edward Clyde May; and a granddaughter, Laura Jane Miller. Survivors include four children, Mary Faulk, Michael (Jackie) May, Kenneth D. May and William (Lorraine) May; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Bill Faulk, Garry Dickey, Wayne Dickey, Jay Hollingshead, Travis Wesson and Kenny Sanders. Bill Spear served as an honorary pallbearer.
