Four people have died in a three-automobile accident on I-65 in Greenville, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Three other people involved in the accident have been transported by helicopter to a Pensacola hospital, said Alabama State Trooper spokesperson Kevin Cook.

The accident happened near the 125 mile marker in Butler County, said Cook, at approximately 7 p.m.

Troopers have had to re-route traffic from the interstate to U.S. Highway 31 via the exit at Georgiana.
