Two dead after shooting in Greenville

Greenville police shot and killed a man following a domestic argument that left one woman dead and another critically wounded, said Mayor Dexter McLendon.

McLendon said police officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 11 p.m. on Tuesday night of a reported shooting on Winkler St. Police shot the man after he came out the front door with a gun, said McLendon.

The ABI is investigating the incident.

Inside the residence, emergency responders found one woman who had been shot in the face, but was still alive, said McLendon. Another woman was discovered dead by investigators in a home on Hicks St.
