Jesse Ray Peterson, age 80, a resident of Lapine, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday,May 18, 2010 at 11 AM from the chapel of Harrison Funeral Home of Greenville, with Reverend Parker Bowen officiating and Harrison Funeral Home directing.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to service (10 AM until 11 AM) at the funeral home.
Mr. Peterson was a retired (E-7) from The United States Navy.
Survivors Include: wife, Eva Owens Peterson of Lapine; daughters, Vickie Heartsill of Fort Deposit, Selina Stokes of Fort Deposit; sons, Jerry Peterson of Athens, Tim Peterson of Highland Home; sister, Mary E. Kennedy of Midland City; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Peterson was preceded in death by his son Robert Peterson.
