Hazel Brown Fegaro, age 77, left this world peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 after an extended illness.
Born in Chapman, Hazel has gone on to join her parents, Henry R. and Eddie E. Brown; sisters, Clotiel Faulk Mallory, Vonciel Huffman and Eddie Belle Pierce; brother Henry Fussell Brown and a son, Anthony Fegaro. Hazel’s love and devotion to God and family will be remembered by Ervin. R. Fegaro; children, Rick Byrd (Giny), Mike Byrd (kay), Katherine Stephens (Steve), Angela Byrd (James Crane), Gail Byers (Sam), Harry Fegaro and Jeffrey Tolliver; grandchildren, Tamara Harris, Jeremy Byrd, Ryan Byrd (Nicole), Joshua Byrd, Michael Byrd (Michelle), Jamie Byrd, Susan Byrd, Ashley Gatlin (Chris), Brad Stephens (Diana), Katrina Walker, Mycha Baxter (SSGT Rodney), Jessica Byers, Maria Beyers, Amy Fegaro, Timothy Fegaro and numerous great-grandchildren, other family and friends.
Hazel was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Couples Three Sunday School class at Eastdale Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tom Green officiating. Interment to follow at Pine View Memorial Gardens with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gassett Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Pallbearers will be Blaine Chastang, Brent Chastang, Pelham Chastang, Hank Mann, John Carmichael and John Lorentson.
Although we miss her, we do receive comfort knowing that we will be seeing her again in the presence of our Heavenly Father. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the nursing staff at Jackson Hospital ICU, Raghu Mukkamala, MD and staff, Fred Hunker MD and staff and the caring support of Paul Strong MD and staff.
