Marion Bush

SFC. Marion Arthur Bush, Jr. (Ret.), a resident of Ozark, AL passed away on Thursday, April 15, 20190 at his residence.  He was 70.
 
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial with full military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 pm Saturday.
 
Mr. Bush was born July 1, 1939 in Montgomery and he resided the early years of his life in Georgiana, Alabama.  He was in the Army National Guard for six years prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1964.  Mr. Bush was veteran of the Vietnam War in 1967- 1968 and served for 26 years. At the time of his retirement in 1985 he was a Sergeant First Class at Fort Rucker. Mr. Bush was employed with Civil Service in the food industry at Ft. Rucker, and was later employed with Domino’s Pizza in Ozark for over twenty years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing at his brother’s fish pond in Greenville. Mr. Bush was a member of American Legion.
 
Mr. Bush was preceded in death by his parents, Marion A. Bush, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Wise, and by his brother, Marvin Leonard Bush.
 
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 47 years, Betty L. Bush, Ozark; his daughter, Tammy Renee Bush, Ozark; his two sons, David Wayne Bush and Gary Allen Bush, both of Ozark; his three grandchildren, Kathryn Whigham Davis, Jessica Lee Petty, and Alexander Allen Whigham-Bush; his great-grandson, Bricen Davis; his two brothers, Willie Jay Bush, Selma, AL, and  John Grant Bush, Greenville, AL; his two sisters, Kathrine Perdue, Pensacola, FL, and Mary Lou Bass, Andalusia, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive.
