HOSA visits Ronald McDonald House

Junior and Senior Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) members took 31 gallon bags of pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham on Thursday, Feb. 25.

This is in addition to the 19 gallons sent over Christmas break.

The pop tabs will be recycled to pay for families to stay in the house while their children are hospitalized in the Birmingham area.

HOSA members were able to tour the house and also did some volunteer work while there, such as clearing out the out-of-date cans from the pantry and refrigerator, wrapping individual cookies and pastries for meals, and cleaning windows.

HOSA and the Honor Society want the pop tab project to be continuous for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama.

Please bring your donations to Luverne School if you would like to be a part of this wonderful project.
