The Greenville Parks and Recreation Department’s 18 and under basketball team claimed the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association state title recently in Gasden.

It was the sixth straight ARPA championship for the GPRD in this age division.

Greenville’s road to the crown started with win over Huntsville Northern in game one. In the semifinals, Greenville beat Monrovia South before topping Monrovia North in the title game.

Members of the Greenville team are: Rashad Cannon, Andreus Coleman, Malcolm Crenshaw, Jermarques Davison, Kwaman Davison, Dejay McCall, Stacey McMeans, Ladarrius Powell, Deeric Powell, Cavantae Roberts, Myron Searight, Denickolas Simmons, and Dempsey Yelder.

The team was coached by Derwin Dozier, Willie Smith, and Terry Crenshaw.
