Billed as providing “everything seniors/disabled need to know,” the daylong Senior Summit on Thursday at Beeland Park drew attendees and health care providers from across the county and beyond.

The event featured a series of professionals speaking on health-and-wellness-related topics, including Elder Abuse, the Alabama Care Program, SCADC SenioRx, Elder Fraud and Exploitation, End of Life Planning and Arrangements, Prevention and Elder Law/Benefits. Q & A sessions were also provided with attendees asking questions about everything from weight gain due to medications to legal issues.

Breakfast, lunch, door prizes donated by local vendors and goodie bags for all the participants were also part of the day.
