Four local fire departments responded to a home fire on Quail Tower Road on Monday, but firefighters were unable to save the structure.

Shortly after lunch, members of the Rutledge, Luverne, Honoraville and Fuller’s Crossroads fire departments converged on 3579 Quail Tower Road to find a brick home in flames.

The blaze had already spread to the upper areas of the house by the time they arrived, and high winds contributed to their difficulty in fighting the fire.

Despite dumping more than 15,000 gallons of water, the home was a total loss.

There was one person at home, but they were able to escape and no injuries were reported.

The incident is still under investigation.
