Sen. Hank Sanders will be the special guest speaker of the Butler Chapel A.M.E Zion when the church celebrates Black History Month on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m.

Sanders has served seven terms in the Alabama Legislature as senator for District 23. He serves as chairman of the finance and taxation committee, among other responsibilities. He is an active member and Sunday School reviewer for the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Selma.

Following the morning worship service, a lunch specially prepared by the men of the church will be served.
