Inmate dies at hospital

An inmate died at the hospital Thursday night after being admitted on Monday.

The inmate’s name has not been released.

Sheriff Kenny Harden said this was not a jail death.

“He had three preexisting medical conditions,” Harden said. “He was admitted on Monday and died in hospital care.”

This announcement comes after last Wednesday’s news of an inmate dying prior to being released. Ronnie O’Neal Warren, who was in the Butler County Correctional Facility on a DUI charge, collapsed outside of the facility and died as he was being transported to L.V. Stabler Hospital for treatment.
