Brantley residents looking for help with prescription drug costs now have a new option available to them.

Through the town of Brantley and the National League of Cities, citizens have access to a free prescription discount card.

The card can be obtained at the Brantley Clerk’s Office, and once you get to a pharmacy, they will ask for an address and driver’s license to verify residency.

“Anybody is eligible for this, and it works at most pharmacies in Crenshaw County,” said Brantley council member Lorey Bogen. “This is for people not covered by any insurance.’

The card allows residents to save an average of 20 percent off the regular retail price of prescription drugs any time that prescription is not covered by insurance.
