Kim Norsworthy was honored recently for her 30 years of service to MonCree Telephone Cooperative located in Ramer, Alabama.

Kim began her career in 1979 as a service order clerk. She quickly worked her way up to payroll, long distance coordinator and now serves as Customer Service Manager.

She was presented with a beautiful plaque. Kim is married to Joseph and they are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.

They have 2 sons, Jason who is a senior at Troy University and Adam who attends LBWC.

One of the Highlights of the Christmas Season for South Luverne Baptist Church was when the children gave an outstanding performance in presenting a Christmas Musical for Children. The Musical “Christmas Hang-Ups” had 8 scenes. The characters with speaking parts were Bailey Bryan, Ha Yeong Jin, Brandon Finley, Casey Hall, and Tanner Watson.

Those dressed as souvenir ornaments were Conner Cox, Maddie Smith,and Brook Watson. Matt Snyder, played the part of Joseph. Billie Bryan was Mary. Hannah Raygan Byrd was and Ashley Tate was the Child.

Those who were the Choir Ornaments in addition to the names listed above were J.J. Jones, Cameron Sanders, Ty Tate, Abby Whiddon and Anna Whiddon. The children received a standing ovation for the wonderful musical that gave the true message of Christmas

A Dramatic Christmas Musical, God Speaking (Throughout the Ages and Still Today) was presented On Sunday December 20, at South Luverne Baptist church for the 11a.m. worship hour. This special production was directed by Laura Aaron, SLBC choir director.

On Sunday night a live presentation of the “Characters of Christmas” was given with SLBC family dressed in costume as Pastor Mike Green shared the Christmas Story. This was a very moving performance that brought the Christmas Story alive.
