Rueben Curtis Newton, 49, a resident of Greenville, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 in a Montgomery hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Rogers and Minister Charles Box officiating.
Burial in Hopewell Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing.
Curtis was preceded in death by his Grand Parents: Carson and Juanita O’Connor, Sr., Mable R. and Early Bell, Luther and Eloise Newton; Step Mother: Patricia C. Newton.
Survivors include: Wife: Tammy Newton, Greenville; Son: Ben Newton, Greenville; Step Children: Christina Wright and Andrew Finch, both of Greenville; Mother: Shirley A. O’Connor and Barley L. Newton, both of Greenville; Brother: Bo (Heather) Newton, Greenville; Sisters: Brenda Burkett and LeAnn (Willis) Parker, both of Greenville, and Vickie Clark, Dothan; Step Brother: Bud (Melba) Owen, Greenville; Step Sister: Lisa (Bill) Bryant, Greenville; Grand Children: Gabriel and Chloe; Nephews: Tyler, Brett, Willie J., Bubba, Michael, and Dusty; Nieces: BreAnn, Madeline, Lisa Marie, Lhole, and Reid.
