Good news for those anticipating the new Butler County Humane Society calendars: They are ready to take home earlier than expected.

BCHS president Herbert Morton has the calendars in the MetLife office on Commerce St. in downtown Greenville this week, starting on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. Volunteers will staff the office Tuesday through Friday, Dec. 15-18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Those who have pre-ordered their calendars can pick them up during those hours, as well as pick up any submitted photos.

“Of course, we will also be offering calendars to sell on the spot at my office,” Morton said. “Just look for Snoopy in the window.”

Calendars will also be available at several local outlets, including The Pineapple, The Smokehouse, Grayson’s of Greenville, Watson Animal Clinic, and in the Alabama Power Office in Greenville.

The calendars are $10 each, with the proceeds going for the care of homeless animals in Butler County via the Greenville Animal Shelter and the proposed no-kill Second Chance county shelter to work in conjunction with the city facility.
