After two seasons as Highland Home’s head football coach, Scott Booth was relieved of his coaching duties at Monday night’s Crenshaw County Board of Education meeting.

Superintendent Kathi Wallace said Booth will stay at the school as a teacher.

“We’re going to go ahead and post the job and see what’s out there,” said Wallace.

Wallace also said that there’s no strict timetable on hiring a new coach.

“That’s kind of an indefinite thing right now,” she said.

Booth had a 1-19 record in two seasons as the head coach of the Flying Squadron.
