Tigers roll with two wins

Hillcrest-Evergreen 59, Greenville 86 (Boys)

The Greenville boys basketball team improved to 5-1 on the year with a 86-59 victory over Hillcrest-Evergreen at home on Saturday night.

Brently Hill led the Tigers with 18 points, while Mikwese Claybourne and Nick McHenry each added 17 points for Greenville. Darryl Starks had 10 points also for GHS.

Clabourne grabbed eight boards to lead the Tigers on the glass.

Greenville 77, Monroe 64 (Boys)

The Tigers went on the road to beat Monroe County, 77-64, on Friday night.

McHenry led the Tigers’ scoring effort, totaling 25 points, whiel Claybourne added 23. McHenry also had six assists, while Za’darius Smith pulled down 17 rebounds, including 13 on the defensive glass. The Tigers play at J.F. Shields on Friday night. – Staff
