Edna Perdue

Edna Louise Lowery Perdue, age 79, of Honoraville, AL, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Visitation was held on Monday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home of Greenville, AL. Funeral services will be held in the chapel immediately following with the Reverend Tom K. Dailey of Birmingham and Bro. Herbert Brown of Greenville, officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Interment followed in the Perdue Cemetery.
Mrs. Perdue was born in Ensley, Alabama on December 2, 1930 to the late John P. Lowrey and the late Audrey E. (Dailey) Lowrey. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Greenville, AL. She was a retired cafeteria manager from the Biloxi Mississippi school system with 25 years of service. In the past Mrs. Perdue had taught Sunday School, volunteered as a Pink Lady at L. V. Stabler Hospital and as a reading coach at W.O. Parmer Elementary. She was a supporter of the Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Spring Creek Homemakers Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. John P. Lowrey and Mrs. Audrey (Dailey) Lowrey, and her brother, Mr. Charles W. (Billy) Lowrey of Hueytown, AL.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, SMSGT Bruce Raymond Perdue , USAF Retired, of Honoraville; four daughters: Cynthia (Lee) Carpenter, of Hattiesburg, MS; Sherry (Hal) Amadon, of Kenner, LA; Angela Denise (Norman) Simmons of Lapine, AL; and Renee (Wesley) Goss of Honoraville; one son, Jeramy (Laura) Perdue of Ocean Springs, MS; one brother, Milford (Martha) Lowrey of Normal, IL; one sister, Mary (Bill) Hall of Bessemer, AL; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, 2 aunts and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department, 6941 Steiner Store Road, Honoraville, AL 36042.
