A holiday tradition will have a new location in Georgiana this year. The Annual Three Arts Club Holiday Bazaar is moving from the Rose Memorial Library to the Georgiana Community House on 131 Jones Street West (near the Methodist church).

“We are changing our location this year and want to get the word out. The community house will give us a lot more space, along with handicap accessibility and more parking,” said club member Melissa Brogden.

As usual, the bazaar will be held on the first Saturday in December, to coincide with the McKenzie and Georgiana Christmas parades (McKenzie’s parade is at 10 a.m. and Georgiana’s is at 2 p.m. Dec. 5).

Bazaar hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dec. 5, with Santa on hand to take your Christmas wish list from 10 a.m. until noon.

“We will offer all our wonderful arts and crafts, including monogrammed key rings and some really cute ornaments. And of course, plenty of delicious cakes, pies and other baked goods,” Brogden said.

All monies raised through the annual event are used to provide college scholarships for local girls, to support the Rose Memorial Library and to send representatives to Girls State each year.

“We appreciate the support of the community and hope lots of folks will come out to see all the lovely and tasty items we have to offer,” Brogden said.
