PRICE, Mr. Harry Lander, 61, a resident of Montgomery died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at his residence. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Sardis Cemetery with Rev. Gene Helton officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Price was preceded in death by his parents, Shuley and Melodine Owens Price and two brothers, Hank F. Price and Gerry H. Price. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Becky; two grandchildren, Andrew Dale and Kayla; seven sisters, Margaret Faurot, Mildred A. Thomas, Shirley Martinez, Judy L. Hodges, Daisy P. Butson, Angie N. Price and Marsha R. Scroggins; one brother, Mickey J. Price; four nieces and three nephews; special friend, Jane Hilley; and his nurse, Susan Lambdin. Active pallbearers were Rufus Kirk, Eddie Henderson, Duane Weaver, Danny Thomas, Ronny Pouncey and C.J. Faulk. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial donations be made to one’s favorite charity.

NORTON, Mr. Luico, 94, a resident of Luverne died Thursday, October 29, 2009. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. William Leverette officiating. Interment followed in the Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Norton was preceded in death by a son, Shelby Norton. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary A. Norton; seven children, Mary Nell McFarland, Larry (Kathy) Norton, Faye Maulden, Jewell Hunter, Dottie (Everett) Steely, Franky Norton and Cathy (Gary) Sport; twenty-two grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Othel (Mary) Norton and Bobby (Merle) Norton. Active pallbearers were Adam Sport, Jeremy Norton, Daniel Norton, Casey Dansby, Jason Jones and Brent Maulden. Honorary pallbearers were Phillip Norton, Larry Norton, Joey Norton and David Norton.

WELLS, Mrs. Winnie Sue, 73, a resident of Luverne died Friday, October 30, 2009 at her residence. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at Sasser Cemetery with Rev. Monroe Sasser officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her parents, Snow Sexton and Dovie Mae Sexton Welch and two sisters, Minnie Carter and Ruth Odom. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Lonell Wells; four children, Allen Kelley, Danny Wells, Connie (Michael) Hurst and Tim (Tana) Wells; five grandchildren, William Hurst, Tiffany Hurst, Shannon Kelley, Lainey Wells and Lindsey Wells; and two great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were William Baker, David Boswell, Danny Lewis, Michael Hurst, William Hurst and John Dailey.

BRODERWAY, Mrs. Verbie T., 87, a resident of Luverne died Friday, October 30, 2009. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Ira Walton officiating. Interment followed in Ivy Creek Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Broderway was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Broderway. Survivors include two children, Billy Ray (Louise) Broderway and Johnnie Ruth (Ronald) Phillips; four grandchildren, Mike (Lynn) Broderway, Mitzi (Bobby) White, David (Jessica) Phillips and Michelle (Jeffrey) Jeffcoat; six great- grandchildren, Derek White, Dusty White, Todd Broderway, Brandon Jeffcoat, Arial Phillips and David Phillips; one great-great-grandchild, Chasidy White; two aunts, Grace Parham and Datha Gilbreath; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Mike Broderway, Todd Broderway, Billy Roberts, Derek White, Johnny Wilson and Ira Walton, Jr.
